A few weeks ago, I posted a video on TikTok as a reminder that sometimes it's not your anxious attachment that's the problem. It might just be that you're dating a shitty person.

As it turns out, this is something that quite a few of you struggle to figure out.

So, let's paint a picture.

You're dating someone, and they have a trip coming up in a couple of weeks. They're going to Jamaica for a week with their friends.

They've been excited about this trip for weeks. On the outside, you've shared in their excitement, but you're dreading it on the inside. You're worried about being apart from them, and you've made up stories in your head that all end with you getting dumped or hurt somehow.

You eventually work up the nerve to let them know how you've been feeling about the trip and know you'd feel better if they cancelled it.

They respond in one of these two ways:
